Cat Adoptions

If you’re interested in adopting one of our furry felines, you came to the right place! Adopting a cat can seem like it is a daunting process, but at APARC, we make it easy!

Step 1: Do your research! This includes making sure you are prepared for a furry addition to the family. Also look into whether a kitten, adult, or senior cat is more suitable for you. By knowing what you are looking for before you come visit, you can be better prepared to ask our staff which cats may fit what you are looking for.

Step 2: Get the necessities! Things like litter boxes, food bowls, and toys are required for every cat. Hold off on things like food and litter until you’ve made your choice, and ask our shelter staff if the cat you have selected has any preference to these items.

Step 3: Fall in love! You can check out our cats here but we much prefer you come in and meet all the cats face to face!

Step 4: Once you find a cat you want to adopt, let our staff know and/or fill out an application by hitting “apply” on the adoptable animal’s profile.

Step 5: Take your lovely new cat home! We will send you away with a food sample to mix into whichever food you choose. Talk to our staff about how to integrate cats to a home, normal adjustment behaviours, and what to look out for in the first few days. We can make sure you have all your questions answered before you walk out our doors with your new cat!
